From supplies to trainers to travel plans — the final preparations for my puppy are falling into place.

🐾 Great Progress

This week brought a lot of accomplishments — I’m feeling more and more ready for my girl to come home.

Preparing Supplies

I finished my supply research, placed the orders, and many items have already arrived. Opening those boxes felt like unwrapping the future!

Website Updates

The website is finished, and I even managed to fix all the quirks I could find.

Training & Socialization

I wrapped up The Perfect Puppy. Re-reading it, along with my other books, reminded me of additional supplies and tasks I still needed to address.

I also sat in on one of the trainers’ classes and attended their Puppy Orientation. I really liked what I saw, so I’ve decided they’ll be our trainers.

Researching Facilities

I visited another boarding facility, but it wasn’t the right fit.

Other Preparations

I coordinated the puppy pickup with the breeder, booked flights, hotel, and a rental car.

I also dove deeper into pet insurance and have narrowed it down to two companies — but I’m still weighing my options.

Finally, I completed a Pet CPR & First Aid certification class. That course reminded me of a few more supplies I still need to pick up to be fully ready.
